About Me

As you can tell from my last post, today's my birthday. I have about 20 minutes left of my birthday so I decided to spend them blogging about me.

I never really know how to word my "About Me" posts. I have come up with some really creative ones in the past, but today I think I'll let my birthday horoscope from elle.com do the talking.

Wednesday, August 06
Happy Birthday, Leo! No matter how personable and seductive your personality, you cherish time by yourself, away from crowds, questions and prying eyes. You enjoy rainstorms, darkness and quiet, private hideaways where you can hear yourself think and not fear interruption. Sudden abrupt noises impair your ability to concentrate or achieve deeper understanding. Since you are mainly a creature of mind and imagination, it's essential to have adequate privacy and solitude to accomplish your goals. One thing you will not tolerate is an intrusive question. You have a stunning ability to stop nosy parkers dead in their tracks when they breach your boundaries. Your displeasure, though calmly delivered, is an unmistakable deterrent to anyone with a functioning brain. You make a pretty good detective and may stumble upon secrets and lies that others have successfully kept hidden for ages. Even though you resent others prying into your privacy, your curiosity and burning desire to unearth the truth may be too tempting to ignore. In other words, you must also take care to respect others' boundaries. You will be entrusted with secrets from time to time, and must honor this trust without fail. Medicine, forensics, detective work, psychology or the sex industry may fascinate and intrigue you. Even if you don't participate in one of these fields, you may be curious or interested in knowing more. Most people find you elusive and mysterious on some level. Whether you have something to hide or not, others suspect you do. This aura of intrigue certainly adds to your powerful magnetism and allure. Born today are Charlize Theron, Garrison Keillor, Rodney Crowell, Mata Hari, David Duchovny, Louis Leakey, Alberto Salazar, Alan Leo, Nathaniel Greene, Billie Burke, Ralph J. Bunche, Verna Bloom, Lana Cantrell, Stan Freberg, John Glover, Raul Malo, Michael Peterson, Tim Renwick, B.J. Thomas, Frank Fitzsimmons, James Randi, Bruce Dickinson, Andy Fraser, John Glover, Edward Hardwicke, Wayne Knight, David Rasche, Romeo Muller and Grandma Moses.

Some of my favorite celebrities who share my birthday weren't included in that list so I have my own celebrity birthday list.

Ginger Spice ... One of the reasons why I was all about the "Girl Power" in my formative years.

Soleil Moon Frye ... Some may know her as Punky Brewster, but I know her as Roxy, the college friend of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Mata Hari ... An interesting historical figure.

Andy Warhol ... My favorite artist. His idea that everyone would get their fifteen minutes of fame was way ahead of his time.

Marissa Miller ... How cool is it to have the same birthday as a Victoria Secret Angel? I'll let you know. It rocks!

Michelle Yeoh ... I love her in the James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies. I think it's the best Bond film of the Brosnan era.

Romola Garai ... She's the lead actress in one of my favorite movies, Dirty Dancing Havana Nights. I so wanted to be her so I could dance with Diego Luna. ;-)
