First Day of School

Today marks the first official day of my junior year. Time sure flew by.

Every week my school sends an e-mail listing the events for the upcoming week. Rent is one of the trips planned for this weekend and tickets were scheduled to go on sale at 9AM this morning. Of course, my first class was at 9AM this morning so I spent my whole weekend freaking out that I wouldn't get tickets. Surprisingly when I rushed over to the Student Union after class, the office was practically empty save for 2 guys ahead of me, one getting a ticket and the other just waiting for his friend. I filled out a form, paid the fee, and will get to see the show I've wanted to see for the past 5 years. Rent, here I come. I wonder who else will be in the audience.

Anyway, my day wasn't just about Rent tickets. I helped some friends put together supplies to make leis. As I was doing that, a large poster of Johnny Depp was blown on top of me resulting in my new now infamous catch phrase, "Johnny Depp fell on top of me." I need to keep track of my catch phrases and put them in a book. I'd make a fortune.

Other interesting things in class ::
- My Organizational Communications professor this morning actually said my name right. I was shocked and excited. Few ever do.
- My Advertising professor's the one who hired Bill Cosby for the Jell-O ads, and he also came up with the Hershey's squeezable chocolate bottle.
- My Publicity Campagins professor asked if any of us had blogs, and I just sat there semi-nodding whispering "yes." And, OMG, Crest White Strip girl is back!

Now I have to write up a few paragraphs for a club poster, figure out what I have to do in another club, look at the Wall Street Journal's website for one of my classes, and review all the syllabi I received today. My work is never done. At least I have Fridays off this semester. That's my day to sleep, except I have errands to do on Friday.
