Here's why it sucked ::
- my friend and I were wearing heels which apparently kill your feet as you wonder around the many exhibits, minus 5
- the moderator for the trip didn't tell us he was a member of the Museum so we wasted about a half hour on a line that wrapped around 3/4 of the block, minus 20
- we wasted about another hour sitting, minus 25
- we couldn't take flash pictures, minus 10
- the only Andy Warhol things I saw were Andy on an Esquire cover, Andy's painting in the lobby, and the Andy Marilyn artwork on the postcard I got in the gift shop, minus 10
Total :: minus 70 points
Here's why it rocked ::
- I was with Mal, plus 10
- I was in NYC, plus 5
- I found where they film Gossip Girl, plus 10
- I got to see the Esquire covers exhibit, plus 10
- Mal & I found the apartment building we will live in when we're rich and chic, plus 15
- Mal & I spotted many a fashionista & fashionisto as we sat and ate snacks (cashews & combos), plus 10
- Mal & I made new friends, plus 10
- I got a postcard of one of Andy Warhol's Marilyn pieces, plus 10
- I got Junior's Red Velvet layer cake, plus 10
Total :: plus 90
So I guess the trip wasn't a total waste of time. Plus now I know how to get there. All is not lost in love and MoMA. Mal and I need to go back to the Museum another time, in flats, when we have free time.
Check out my pictures :: excuse the blurriness, we couldn't take pictures with flash
listen up designers :: put this on a dress, and Mal & I will wear it
my favorite part of a Matisse painting
we thought this was a piece of art until we saw a guy walking on them, lol
I'm not exactly sure why there was an Airstream trailer in the museum, but if you look closely, you can see the stove in the back
faux leaves ???
not a sculpture, but it was in the sculpture garden
view from MoMA :: Mal & I plan to live here
view from MoMA :: we may hang out here
view from MoMA :: our street in 10 years
not MoMA ... St Patrick's Cathedral at night
not MoMA ... the Juicy Couture window ... this should have been in MoMA
Xiaomin asked the ticket guy on the train for her ticket back so she could keep it as a souvenir and he handed her a whole stack of the tickets he had clipped, lol
